Evelyn Weber (née Mangra) passed away peacefully at the Rose Monahan Hospice in Worcester, MA on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the age of 90.
Born on January 11, 1936, Evelyn's life spanned nine remarkable decades.
Evelyn was born in Guyana and raised her family there before immigrating to United States and living in Minnesota for many years. Upon her retirement from work in 1998, she moved to Florida.
She is remembered with affection by her five surviving children and spouse: Dave and his wife Pam Mangra of Brampton Ontario, Jagdeo Mangra of San Francisco, CA, Paul Mangra of Worcester, MA, Chitra and her husband, Jim Drackley, of Holden, MA, and Utranie Mangra, of Farmington, MN.
She was a grandmother to Laxmi Bissoondial, Hannah Drackley, Shandi, Jasmine, Vishnu, Krishnan, Ravi Mangra; Divendra, Rovindra, Nirmala Mangra; Reshma, Sunita Mangra; Dillon, Nick, Ian, Alexia, Jason, and Kevin Mangra and seventeen great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Rose Monahan Hospice for everything they did to make our mother comfortable in her final days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, January 23rd, 2026 from 9:30- 11 a.m in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11 am in the funeral home. Cremation and burial will be private.
