She had twenty-one grandchildren and over 50 great and great-great grandchildren. She absolutely loved her grandbabies.
She was a resident of Parsonsfield, Maine for 50 years and was an active member of the South Parsonsfield Baptist church for over 30 years. Her church family loved her immensely and she loved them. When she moved to Portland because of health issues, she stayed connected with her church friends. One church friend wrote “Even after she could not be active due to health issues, she still saved money in different containers for the missionary funds and gave the money to us when we visited her.
She loved going on yearly beach trips to “Fenwick Island” and would enjoy walking and hanging on the boardwalk with the grandchildren. She loved the holidays where she left a legacy of traditions for her children and grandchildren.
Mom loved to puzzle and would always get her many children and grandchildren to participate in helping her to finish her puzzles. She reminded us that she has two families now and loved her second family at Pine Point. She loved Bingo and was known as the Bingo Queen at Pine Point. Mom was a true “Mainah” and her last meal she asked for was an Italian.
Grammie, as the grands called her, was known for her wit and little sing song quotes. Always making faces, she loved and was loved by all. Her very last words say it all as spoken to her grandchild(ren) “I love you.” We all are blessed. I could hear Jesus say to her as she entered into His arms “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the Joy of the Lord.”
