Obituary

Elisabeth Weber-Clarke, age 76 of Worcester MA, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026. Born in Queens, NY and raised in Cresskill, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Richard J and Mary (Brice) Weber and wife of the late Walter L. Clarke Jr. Lee earned her BS and MBA from Clark University and had a successful career in engineering and information technology, working at Sprague, DEC and Intel prior to retiring.

Lee was my best friend, confidante and one of the finest people I’ve ever known. Genuine and kind, she showed up for people in ways that truly mattered, offering quiet support, steady encouragement, and a calm presence. Some of her greatest joys were simple pleasures - outings with friends, long conversations, quiet walks, shared meals, gardening, cheering on the Bruins, Sox and Patriots, and the easy laughter that came from being with people she loved. She was the friend who had your back, the mentor who helped you grow and the tutor who made learning feel a little easier. Her friendships were deeply meaningful for her, from her Clarkie and Intel Ladies to her work colleagues and the neighbors she welcomed with the same warmth as lifelong friends.

Her commitment to social justice was central to who she was. She believed in fairness, dignity, living those values with quiet humility. She held a deep love for the natural world - finding peace in nature and gently reminding the rest of us to slow down and notice the beauty around us.

What she leaves behind is a lasting gift: the reminder that kindness can be powerful without being loud, that showing up is a form of love, and that joy often lives in small moments. Everyone who knew Lee carries her spirit forward.

Beyond her circle of friends, Lee is survived by her cousin Kevin Allfrey and his wife Sandra of New York; her former sister-in-law Cathy Weber and niece Jennifer Weber of Colorado; and her nephew Erick Weber of New Jersey. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard A Weber.
