Maureen E. (Pontes) Keith, 75, of Swansea, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Somerset Ridge Center. She was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Arlene (Carpenter) Pontes.
Ms. Keith was born in Fall River and had resided in Swansea for most of her life. Prior to retirement, she worked in retail for many area stores and had also worked as a house cleaner and in the restaurant industry. She enjoyed yard saling, antiquing and flea marketing. Ms. Keith always looked forward to going out to eat with family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with family.
Survivors include her 2 children: Wendy L. Walters and her companion Stevie Adams of Westport and her son: Dustin S. Keith of Benton, KY; her brother: Victor J. Pontes and his companion Karen Jacome of Somerset; 5 grandchildren: Justin McLaughlin, Dustin Keith, Jr., Cory Bennett, Aaron Bennett and Andrew Bennett; 10 great grandchildren; her former husband: Charles Keith; along with many cousins.
She was the sister of the late Wayne R. Pontes.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Somerset Baptist Church, 363 High St., Somerset, MA 02726 at 2:00P.M.
Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a local animal shelter.
