Mary E. (Sullivan) McCullough, 94
January 30, 1931-January 12, 2026
Born in Avon, the daughter of the late Leo and Ethel (Kelliher) Sullivan. She was raised and educated in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School, Class of 1949. In 1950, she completed her training at the School of Radiology at Quincy City Hospital. Mary remained at Quincy City Hospital for 38 years, working as an administrative assistant in the Radiology Department.
In her retirement, she continued her commitment to healthcare by working part-time in the Radiology Department at Cardinal Cushing Hospital. She served as a mentor to many young people and remained in touch with them over the years as friends. Mary enjoyed gardening, reading, and walks with her late husband and their cats.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Leo Sullivan of North Carolina, Richard J. Sullivan of East Bridgewater, Pamela Garza of Florida, James and Kelly Lynch of Maine, Ellen Lynch of Brockton, Mary Jane Sneyders, Gracia Sullivan, along with many friends and neighbors.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward “Ted” McCullough, her brothers Francis J. Sullivan, James L. Sullivan, and John E. Sullivan; and her cousins Robert Whitemore, Phyllis Lynch, and Jack Lynch, all of Brockton.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA 02301.
