Obituary

David C. Saitta, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Monday, January 12, 2026, at his home in Charlestown. He was 71 years old.

David was born in Boston on May 19, 1954, a son of the late Charles Saitta and Concetta (Penta) Saitta. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1972. He furthered his education and attended Boston State College. David retired as an IT Specialist for the Executive Office of Health & Human Services for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. David was an avid sports fan; he especially loved the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. He was well traveled throughout his lifetime with many trips to and around Europe. David was intellectually curious, a voracious reader, especially relating to the Civil War and the Roman Empire. David was a kind and generous person beloved by all who knew him.

Devoted father of Tifaney (Saitta) Brooks of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Beloved brother of Anthony Saitta and his wife Susan, Robert Saitta and his wife Camille, Richard Saitta and his wife Ann, Ronald Saitta and his wife Nevina and the late Charles Saitta Jr. and Joanne Janikian. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend David’s funeral on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at
10:00AM from the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown followed by his
Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, at
11:00AM. His burial will be private. His visiting hours will take place on Monday, January 19,
2026, from 4 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
