Obituary

Elizabeth K. (Golding) Shaw of Brockton, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 60 years old.

Liz worked at Southeastern Vocational High School for ten years, where she did far more than serve meals. During that time, she built lasting friendships, shared countless laughs, and created loving memories with her coworkers who became family. Those years were filled with connection, kindness, and moments she will always hold close to her heart.

Elizabeth, lovingly known as Liz, was the devoted wife of Mark Shaw for 39 years and the loving mother to her three daughters: Brittany Schiller (Justin Schiller), Danielle Landers (Guy Landers), and Jennifer Shaw (Andrea Shaw). She was the heart of her family and taught everyone around her the true meaning of love, loyalty, and selflessness.

Family was everything to Liz. She treasured time spent together, whether hosting gatherings by the pool at her home, visiting her daughters’ homes, or enjoying trips to Foxwoods. Being surrounded by the people she loved brought her the deepest joy.

Her most cherished role was being “Nana” to her four beloved grandchildren: Emery Shaw, Jamie Shaw, Justin Schiller Jr., and Rhea Landers. Each child held a special place in her heart, and she shared a unique bond with each one of them—creating traditions, filling their days with laughter, and loving them endlessly.

Elizabeth is also survived by her sisters, Maureen DiRenzo (James DiRenzo) and Irma Monteiro, along with many nieces and nephews. She was a devoted sister, a loving aunt, and a loyal friend. Someone who always showed up with thoughtfulness, humor, and unwavering support.

She is now reunited in peace with her parents, Arthur and Helen Golding; her siblings, John Golding (Diane Golding) and Deborah McMullen (Joesph McMullen); her nephew, Michael Avery; and the many friends and family who preceded her in death. Though she will be missed more than words can express, her love lives on in the way her family loves, supports and cares for one another.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 9:30 am, for a funeral mass at 10:30 am, at Christ the King Church, 54 Lyman Street, Brockton. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, N. Cary Street, Brockton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Liz’s memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
