Margaret Ann (Ackley) Deitz (McClure), aged 82, passed away peacefully at home, on January 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 8, 1943, in Chicopee, to the late Marshall S. Ackley and Cecile Y. (Plouf) Ackley. Margaret is predeceased by her first husband, Norman L. McClure, who passed in 1984, and her second husband, Harlan W. Deitz, who passed in 2015. She is also predeceased by her son, John D. McClure, who passed away suddenly on January 3, 2026. She is survived by her son Steven L. McClure, of Chicopee, two stepchildren, William Deitz and Beth Lucio, both of Arkansas and her sister Jeanne Robitaille of Chicopee. She also leaves behind three nieces, Jill Senecal, Valerie Patrick and her husband Jeffrey and Amy Boyd and her husband Kenny, all of whom fondly referred to her as "Motown" because they couldn't pronounce Mataunte (aunt in french). A nickname she truly enjoyed. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, great & great-great nieces and nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful people at hospice who helped Margaret and her family during this difficult time. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
