Obituary

Barbara A. (Hall) Petrozzi, 94 of Worcester. died Tuesday December 30th in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 71 years Francis J. Petrozzi died May 2024. She is survived by her son, Joseph Petrozzi and his wife, Diane of Oakham; her daughter, Susan Petrozzi of Worcester; three granddaughters, Sara Kenneway and her husband, Jayson of Warren, Amie Neville and her husband, Ryan of Paxton and Desiree Edmonds of Worcester; six great-grandsons, Jayce, Jarek, Javen, Fitzgerald, Jakoby and Joseph, and a daughter in-law Gail Petrozzi of Worcester.

Barbara was born in Worcester, the daughter of Walter and Evelyn (Blanchard) Hall and last worked for the former Rustlers Steak House in Worcester, retiring in 1980. She was a former member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish; an avid reader, often finishing a book in a day, enjoying trips to the casino, crossword puzzles and gossip. Her greatest joy was time she spent with her family, especially her granddaughters and great-grandsons. Grammy or She-She as she was known by many, loved fiercely and made sure everyone knew how much they meant to her every day. Cookouts at Frankie & Barbara’s pool and Wednesday spaghetti dinners were a gathering place for many friends, neighbors and family. Singing, dancing and laughter was plentiful.
Barbara never missed one of her great grandsons’ sporting events and you could find her cheering them on from the sidelines and slipping everyone a little spending money every chance she got.
Words could never express how much her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was an absolute treasure to us all.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 7th at Noon in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
