
Jane E. Bedford, 89, of Worcester died Tuesday, December 30th in the Life Care Center of Auburn. She leaves two sisters, Joan Cournoyer and her husband, Phillippe and Joyce Pijus all of Worcester; nieces and nephews, James and Donald Agbey, Nichol Perry and Kimberly Seaver; and many great nieces and nephews.
Jane was born in Worcester, the daughter of James and Viola (Paradise) Bedford and was a proud graduate of David Hale Fanning Girls Trade School. A woman of deep faith and service, she was a devout and longtime member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, where she lovingly served as the church caretaker for many years.
Music was central to Jane’s life and faith. She was actively involved in the handbells, sang in the church choir, and shared her talents as an organist. Jane was also a member of the American Guild of Organists, reflecting her lifelong dedication to sacred music.
In her free time, Jane enjoyed traveling to Nova Scotia and cherished her summer vacations spent on Cape Cod. She also found great joy in playing and helping with bingo at the Life Care Center of Auburn, where she enjoyed giving her time and bringing happiness to others.
Jane will be remembered for her devotion to her church, her love of music, and her generous spirit.
Family and close friends will gather on Saturday, January 10th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue for a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
