Susan A. (Bernner) Rainville, age 60, of Rockland, Maine, formerly of Mansfield, MA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her adoring family on Friday, December 19, 2025 at MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital in Rockport. She was the beloved wife of Richard S. Rainville, to whom she was wed for over forty years.
Born in Norwood, MA on June 9, 1965, she was a loving daughter of the late Paul H., Sr. and Kathryn A. (Mayo) Bernner.
Sue grew up in Mansfield and was a member of the Mansfield High School Class of 1983. She had made her home in Maine for over thirty years and worked in the food industry and was the former proud owner of a House of Pizza.
Sue loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She, along with her husband were longtime motorcycle enthusiasts and never missed Bike Week in Laconia, New Hampshire.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted children, Michael Rainville of, Rockland, Maine, Amanda Rainville of Rockland and Eliza Rainville of Rockland, Maine. She was the cherished grandmother of Alexa, Ellianna, Oliver and Paxton. She was the dear sister of Karen M. Anderson and her husband Mark of Norton and the late Paul H. Bernner, Jr. She was the loving aunt of Jennifer Burke, Jonathan Burke, Christopher Anderson, Joseph Anderson and Emily Anderson and is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a graveside funeral service at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, 1 Franklin Street in Mansfield, on a day and time to be announced. Visiting hours are omitted.
