Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Keith A. Meersman announces his passing on December 25, 2025, following a long illness. Keith was born on January 12, 1953, in Coral Gables, Florida, and spent his formative years in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Keith was a man of many passions. In his younger years, he was an avid boxer at the Boys Club and enjoyed participating in a local bowling league. His love for the outdoors was reflected in his dedication to golfing and cultivating his vegetable garden, where he took particular pride in growing hot peppers. These hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to connect with family and friends, sharing both his successes and laughter.

Keith was a devoted brother and uncle, and he leaves behind a close-knit family who will forever miss his presence. He is survived by his three brothers, Lawrence C. Meersman III and his wife, Tammie of Oxford; Scott F. Meersman and his wife, Mary of Charlton; and Dean P. Meersman and his wife, Cindy of Rochdale. He also leaves his sister, Lori Meersman of Worcester, a half sister, Dawn Marie Tirado and her husband, Luis of Worcester, half brother Jeffrey Jackson and his wife Diane of Barnstable, MA, 14 nieces and nephews, and 18 great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his cousin, Gale Campbell, and his brother-in-law, Kevin Mero.

Keith was predeceased by his parents, Rita and Lawrence Meersman Jr., his sister, Jan Mero, and his nephew, Francisco Hernandez.

The family would like to thank the staff at Life Care of Auburn for the compassion and care Keith received over the years.

In keeping with Keith’s wishes, there will be no calling hours, and burial will be private. His family takes comfort in the many memories shared with him over the years and will hold him forever in their hearts.
