
Barry Lee Knupp, 77, of Hillsdale, PA went to his mansion on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 while a resident of the Haida Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hastings, PA.
The son of Murray A. and Marion “Mim” D. (Linder) Knupp, he was born on June 27, 1948 in Indiana, PA.
Barry served in the US Army as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War.
He married Melanie S. (Edwards) on November 29, 1969 and the have shared fifty-six years of marriage together.
Barry was a member of the Cookport Baptist Church.
Prior to his retirement, Barry was employed for thirty years as a roller operator with HRI.
He enjoyed his membership at the Clymer Slovak Club and one of his favorite activities was being on his skid steer.
Barry’s approachable manner allowed him to easily make friends. Everybody loved Barry and he was particularly blessed by his good friendship with Kevin Smyers and his best friend from work, Alby Hagan.
Most of all, Barry loved being with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie; his two sons: David Knupp and wife Jamie and Damon Knupp and his four grandchildren: Sawyer Knupp; Crue Knupp; Justin Knupp and Madilynn Knupp.
Also surviving are his four siblings: Larry “Fluff” Knupp; Becky Knupp; Denise Yacobucci and Patty McGinn.
Preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Isabella Knupp; twin brother, Brian Knupp and an infant sister.
Family and friends are invited to a 2:00 p.m. memorial service to be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Cookport Baptist Church. Dave Krivonick will officiate.
Military honors will be observed by the US Army and the Clymer American Legion Post #222.
