Deborah Benoit
November 30, 1953 – December 21, 2025
Deborah Benoit, 72, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, passed away on December 21, 2025, surrounded by the family she cherished. She was a woman of sharp wit, incredible intelligence, and a legendary spirit of generosity.
Born on November 30, 1953, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Deborah was the daughter of the late Carl and Patricia Lundgren. She spent her professional life as a Controller, most recently at Senecal Electric until her retirement in the fall of 2024. While her official title was Controller, she playfully preferred to call herself the “bean counter.” Her associates remember her as being exceptionally smart—the kind of person who remembered exactly where everything was—but more importantly, she was the heart of the office who kept everyone laughing.
Deborah was refreshingly direct; she never beat around the bush and always told you exactly what she thought. Yet, she did so with a constant smile and a genuine desire to help anyone in need. Her love language was giving, and she found her greatest happiness during the Christmas season, her favorite time of year, when her entire family was gathered together.
While she was a dedicated professional and a talented gardener, Deborah’s greatest source of pride was her family. She was a fiercely proud mother and grandmother, and she never missed an opportunity to share the accomplishments and stories of her children and grandchildren. They were truly the light of her life.
Deborah is survived by her daughter, Lisa Benoit (46); her son, Brian Benoit (44) and his wife Brandy (39); and her four beloved grandchildren: Rayann (23), Michaela (23), Zackery (15), and Annabelle (8). She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Patricia Lundgren, and her brother, Gary Lundgren.
