Mary Ellen Bauer (Pascoe), of Brockton, MA and born November 14, 1943 in Buffalo, NY to the late Vincent and Margaret Pascoe, was called home to God on December 14, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones after a period of declining health.
She was preceded in death by her brother Vincent Pascoe of Rockville MD, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Daniel and Nancy (Bauer) Nowak of Buffalo, NY
Mary Ellen is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Paul E Bauer of Brockton; Sister-in-law Jean Pascoe of Rockville, MD; her children Kathleen Bauer, of Brockton, George & Shannon (Woodward) Bauer of Bethlehem, CT, Robert Bauer of Fort Lauderdale, FL; her amazing grandchildren, Shannara, Gemma, Ian, and Bryce. She is also survived by niece Jill Pascoe, nephews John Pascoe, Victor Pascoe, Jeff Nowak, and Danny Nowak.
She was a regular communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church of Brockton. She enjoyed playing bingo, bridge, watching Wheel of Fortune and doing crossword puzzles in her free time. She loved reading books and encouraged and shared with others. She most enjoyed spending time with family and hearing updates about their successes, travels, and adventures of those she loved.
Over the years she had various jobs in the airline, hotel and golf industries, but her longest tenured, most proud, and important job was being the best wife, amazing mother, and proud Gram-Gram she could be. She will be deeply missed by all those who were close to her.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, December 21st from 12-3pm at Conley Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, Brockton, on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 9 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West Street, Brockton. Interment to follow at Cedar Knoll Cemetery, 175 Staples Street, East Taunton.
