Obituary

Theresa F. (Vadas) Clark, 96.995 years young, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday December 12, 2025, at her home in Fremont, NH. Terry “Sis” was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on New Years Eve, 1928, and there was a huge, worldwide, party for her every year. She is now celebrating in the arms of her savior Jesus Christ.
Terry was a lifelong, devoted member of the Catholic Church, attending Mass weekly for decades, and watching Mass on TV daily, with her rosary in her hands, in recent years. She spoke often about how grateful she was that God put the right people and opportunities in her path throughout her lifetime and never left her side. Her dear friend, Minister Denise Nolan visited her weekly to give her Communion.
Theresa retired from Worcester City Hospital as the secretary at the School of Nursing in 1985. Prior to that she was a Guidance Aid at North High School in Worcester. “Grammy” Terry loved music and played organ for many years, often providing entertainment at Spag’s and at the Auburn Mall. Terry sang with the Sweet Adelines in her younger years and traveled all around the country to share her beautiful voice.
Theresa leaves behind a remarkable legacy. She had seven children – Linda and Phil Roth of Danville, NH, Raymond “Pudge” Clark of Southport, NC, Patricia Doyle of Holden, MA, Christina and Mike Towne of Elgin, SC, Barbara Rooke and John Basham of West End, NC, John and Patricia Clark of Worcester, MA, and Richard and Nancy Clark of Worcester, MA. Terry had 34 grandchildren, over 50 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, all of whom she loved and raved about. She also had many nieces and nephews, her former sister in law, Elaine Seymour, of Pawtucket, RI and hundreds of friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Florence (Ross) and John Vadas, her former husband Raymond Clark, her brothers John and Edward “Vast Eddie” Vadas, her sisters Shirley Viel and Dorothy Gain, and her daughter-in-law Jane (Carroll) Clark.
The family acknowledges and is grateful for the wonderful love and care Theresa received while living at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home, and at Fox Den Assisted Living in the last years of her life. We are also thankful for Amedisys, for the hospice and skilled care that they provided.
Her funeral is Monday, December 29th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, MA with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday, December 28th from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Theresa 's memory to Be Like Brit Orphanage in Haiti.
