Kevin Michael Shea, 59, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, December 6th peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his father, Dermot F. Shea of Harwichport; his daughter, Casey Shea of Los Angeles; his sister, Kathleen Brothers and her husband, Stephen of Worcester and his brother, Dan Shea and his wife, Wula of Heidelberg, Germany; his nephew, Matthew Brothers and his niece, Lizzie, Shea.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Virginia M. (Moran) Shea who predeceased Kevin in 2015. Kevin graduated in 1984 from St. John's High School in Shrewsbury. After graduation he became a Union Pipefitter for Local 4. He loved his work as a pipefitter working for over 30 years, even doing jobs while fighting cancer.
Kev loved spending time with his family and friends. He was so proud of all of his daughter, Casey's accomplishments as a dancer. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his father at the Cape and many holiday gatherings at his sister Kathy's house. Kev was a two-year participant of the UMass Cancer Walk at Polar Park. He was a great friend, willing to help anyone in need. Kev will be greatly missed, we find peace knowing he is not suffering anymore.
