Catherine P. “Kathleen” Dennehy of Charlestown and Falmouth MA entered into eternal life in Falmouth on December 3, 2025 at the age of 90.
Born in Boston on March 18, 1935, Kathleen was the beloved daughter of Thomas J. Dennehy and Katherine F. (McCarthy) Dennehy, both of Bantry (Cork) Ireland.
Kathleen grew up in Charlestown, attended St. Francis de Sales Parochial School and graduated from Girls High School in Boston, class of 1953. She was an employee of Commercial Union Insurance Company for 37 years before retiring. Kathleen loved Charlestown and missed traveling, playing bingo and spending time with her friends at the Golden Age Senior Center in Charlestown. She may have spent a penny or two at the slot machines at area casinos and was the luckiest scratch ticket winner in the family.
Kathleen was pre-deceased by her parents Thomas and Katherine Dennehy, her sister Mary J. Morrissey, and brothers John J. Dennehy and Thomas J. Dennehy. She is survived by and will be missed greatly by her loving niece and nephews, Thomas, Joseph, John, Paul, Michael, James and Stephen Morrissey, and Thomas, James, Maureen and Timothy Dennehy. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kathleen’s visiting hours on Tuesday morning, December 9, 2025 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown, followed by her Funeral Mass at 12 Noon in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
