Lindsay Danielle Gemmell, 37, of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, November 23rd in Mass General Hospital with her husband David and mother Eleanor by her side. She leaves her husband of 14 years, and love of her life, David Gregoire; her mother, Helen “Eleanor” Gemmell of Georgia; her uncle, George Gemmell of Georgia; cousins, Ian Gemmell, who was like a brother to Lindsay, and his wife, Zephie of Colorado and Rebecca Gemmell of Georgia; her father and mother in law, Kenneth and Bonnie Young; sisters in law, Nichole, Amanda and her wife, Rachel, and Briana; brothers in law, Harvey and his wife, Erica and Matthew and his wife, Nicole; her close friends, Ani, Kristen, and Ashley; her fur babies, Henry and Pokie; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, James and Elizabeth Gemmell and her dog, Lulu.

Born on Long Island, New York, she grew up with a curiosity about the world and a compassion for others that would shape every chapter of her life. A proud graduate of Clark University, Lindsay double-majored in Government and International Relations and Psychology with a concentration in Law. Ever committed to learning, she was pursuing her master’s degree at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Her pursuit of knowledge and self-improvement remained a defining trait.

Lindsay dedicated 15 years of her career to Community Healthlink, working as a Case Manager, and later in computer coding and supporting systems. While at Clark, she worked as a Legal Assistant at the law offices of Eden, Rafferty, Tetreau & Erlich in Worcester. She was deeply committed to the mission of caring for others, both through her work and her personal advocacy for the homeless and the Worcester community. Diplomatic, honest, and always true to herself, Lindsay approached every challenge with integrity and quiet determination.

Her passions brought color and joy to her life and the lives of those around her. She adored her beloved pets, and she found comfort and delight in the worlds of Harry Potter, Downton Abbey, The Crown, and just about any British television she could find. She was equally fond of the mysteries of Nancy Drew and the beauty of gardening, especially flowers. She took pride in tending to native plants throughout Worcester, nurturing the landscapes she loved.

Lindsay treasured time with family, whether cheering on New England sports teams, sharing simple moments together, or exploring new places. Some of her happiest memories came from family trips to the ocean, Lake Winnipesaukee, listening and learning her Scottish history from her-grandma, incorporating them into her cooking, as well as returning to New York to visit loved ones. Above all, Lindsay will be remembered for her kind heart, thoughtful spirit, and unwavering authenticity. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, curiosity, and quiet strength—qualities that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
