STANDISH-Bertha Day, age 80, passed away on November 30, 2025 in Portland, Maine.
She was born on June 1, 1945, a daughter of George and Bula (Randall) Newcomb. Bertha graduated from Bonny Eagle and is known by many for working at the Inlet Restaurant in Standish.
She enjoyed going to yard sales, making various types of ceramics, being involved in the Standish community and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bertha is predeceased by her husband of 55 years True (Sonny) Day, her siblings Eddie Newcomb, Floyd Newcomb, Roland Newcomb, Perdita Beckwith and Lucinda McCormick and her granddaughter Andrea Brown.
She is survived by her children, Doreen (Day) Webber (Phil Webber) and Dennis Day (Kristen Day), her grandchildren Kayla Brown, Ashley Barr, Devon Day, Tabitha Day and her great-grandchildren Mason Barr, Peyton Barr, Mackenzie Roberts, Joslin Gagne and an expecting great-grandson Harrison.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday December 11th from 3 to 5 pm at Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton, Maine.
