
Philip J. Brodeur 92 of Dartmouth passed away on 11/29/25 . Born in Fall River, MA on December 11, 1932, to Philip R. and Marguerite (Sarlo) Brodeur
“Sookie”, as he was affectionately known by family and close friends, moved to Dartmouth with his family at age nine. He remained a resident of Dartmouth for the rest of his life. He attended Dartmouth Public Schools and began his career at Firestone, ultimately retiring from the town of Dartmouth, where he proudly served as local union president for many years.
He is pre-deceased by his wife Lillian, sister Barbara, daughter Laurie and grandson Matthew.
He is survived by his son Philip R. (Ginger), grandchildren Philip J. Brodeur, Andrew Grabczyk and Ericka Thompson and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by brother-in-law John (Maureen) Cabral, nephew Robert Gaudreau and niece Deborah Rivera Campion plus many more nieces and nephews.
Sportsman, hunter, terrier enthusiast and landscaper extraordinaire, he also coached little league in the town of Dartmouth. He especially enjoyed camping with his wife Lillian, ultimately spending many summer seasons on Horseneck Beach.
His was a life well-lived, focused on family, friends and good times.
There will be a memorial service scheduled in the future at the Potter Funeral Home.
