Jerry Lane Young, 71, of Ben Hill County, Georgia, died Friday, November 28, 2025, at Piedmont Health in Macon, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church, in Irwin County, Georgia with Wayne Smith officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:30 until 3:30 at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Young was born February 6, 1954, in Ben Hill County, Georgia to the late Alva Young & Clara Goodman Douglas. He worked as a Boiler Maker at various factories throughout the years. Mr. Young had a great love for his family, friends and music. He will be missed by his beloved dog, Ginger.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Young; children; Dale & Rebecca Roberson, Brock Young, Edward & Leana Roberson, and Willis & Kasey Roberson; grandchildren: Danny Musgrove, Lane & Josie Roberson, Kahli Roberson, Dallas Roberson Silva, Chasity & Brendan Grant, Montana & Noah Mercer, Sonya Roberson, Willis Roberson II, Layla Roberson, Jagger Young, Nora Young, Elizabeth Sanders, John Sanders, Mathew Sanders, Jeremie Sanders; great-grandchildren: Gracie Manning, Ashton Roberson, Kenny Musgrove, Harley Roberson, Colton Roberson, Holland Roberson, Gracie Villers and Reese Mercer; siblings; Sherman & Debbie Douglas, Bruce Young, Dixie & Keith Rudd and Allen “Bubba” & Trisha Douglas.
