GILMANTON ---- William H. “Billy” Demers, 52, of Gilmanton, New Hampshire, formerly of Merrimack, New Hampshire, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Bill was born on April 29, 1973, in Manchester, NH, the son of Larry Demers and Rachel (Langlais) Demers.
Bill, recognized in the HVAC industry, started his career in plumbing but in recent months worked for MB Tractor and Equipment. Over the years, he earned the respect of colleagues and peers for his deep technical knowledge, strong work ethic, and his willingness to help others at the drop of a hat. He was always the first to offer a hand, share what he knew, and support anyone who needed it. He had many close friends who meant the world to him.
Bill especially enjoyed time spent fishing, bird hunting, or simply kicking back and having a beer with the people he loved most. Had friendship been the currency of wealth, Bill would rank among billionaires.
Bill is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Marcie (Babonis) Demers; sons, Riley and Joseph Demers; parents, Larry Demers and Rachel (Langlais) Demers; brother, Michael Demers and his wife, Stephanie; nephews Dylan, Christopher, and Matthew; niece, Jordan; brothers-in-law, David Babonis and his wife Nevia and Steve Babonis and his wife Cynthia; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Bill is predeceased by his grandparents, Babe and Cecile Langlais, Arthur Demers, Mary (Demers) Lindahl, and Arthur Lindahl.
Calling hours held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 10:00am-1:00pm in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, New Hampshire.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
The family would like to thank all who have offered their love, support, and prayers. In honor of Bill, please share a favorite memory, lend a helping hand to someone in need, or spend time with the people you love—just as he always did.
