Donna M. (Ritacco) Raillo, of Worcester, MA, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, at the age of 74, after a long battle with dementia.
Donna is survived by her beloved daughters, Kimberly Boyd and her husband Wayne Boyd of Little River, SC, and Christy Raillo and her fiancé Derek Liimatainen of Rutland, MA; her adored grandchildren, Nathan and Neala Boyd; and her sisters, Marilyn Ritacco and Karen Larkin of Maine. She also leaves behind her fur-grandchildren, Penny, Waylon and Georgie.
Donna, the 1st baby born in Worcester on January 1, 1951, at City Hospital, was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Bernice (Bartnicki) Ritacco. She was a graduate of South High School, class of 1969. For many years she worked at the Sheriff’s Department of Worcester, retiring in 2011. Prior to her time at the SDW, she worked many years as a manager at McDonald’s in Auburn.
After her retirement she ventured to Old Orchard Beach, ME with her sister Marilyn, where they lived the beach life together.
Donna loved dancing and singing to the oldies, she enjoyed traveling with her sisters, shopping trips, sitting down with a good book, and nights out on the town.
Donna lived a life defined by kindness, strength and generosity. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit and loyalty to those she loved, and she will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
The family extends sincere gratitude to The Christopher House, Brookside Unit staff, and the JHC Hospice team for their kind, compassionate, and dignified care and support.
Calling hours will be on Monday, November 24th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Fazio Funeral Home, 9 Branch St., Worcester. Her funeral will be at 9a.m. on Tuesday, November 25th followed by a prayer service beginning at 10:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster St, Worcester.
