Obituary

Bonita Ann “Bonnie” Ouellette
CORNISH- Bonita Ann “Bonnie” Ouellette went to be with her Lord on November 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born to Russell and Lorraine Campbell, Bonnie’s life began with both joy and sorrow. Her father, Russell, passed away while serving our country in World War II when Bonnie was just three months old. In time, Russell’s brother, Alwyn, married Lorraine, and together they raised Bonnie alongside her siblings, Clyde and Pamela. Bonnie often reminisced about the cherished trips “Up Home,” where she and her siblings spent time with their many cousins—memories that reflected her deep love for family, a value she carried throughout her life.

Family was everything to Bonnie. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 47 years, Maurice “Moe” Ouellette, the love of her life. Rarely seen apart, Bonnie and Moe built a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Together, they raised five children: Randy Perkins (wife Karen) of Windham, Craig Perkins (wife Gina) of Gray, Christina Jordan (husband Darrell) of Cornish, Traci Fiandaca (husband Christopher) of Cornish, and Peter Ouellette of Cornish. Bonnie was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.

She is also survived by her brother, Clyde Campbell (wife Priscilla) of Casco; her sister, Pamela Geyer (husband Charlie) of Porter; and many nieces and nephews who were always welcome in her home. Bonnie’s love knew no bounds—she had a special way of making every child feel seen, safe, and cherished.

In 1978, Bonnie and Moe settled in Cornish, Maine, where they were married in their newly built home, surrounded by their children. From that day forward, their blended family became one, with no “steps”—only love. Moe served as a trooper with the State Police, while Bonnie began her career at the local bank. She later worked at Dr. Bellino’s office in Steep Falls and then at Dr. Joe DeKay’s office in South Hiram, where her warmth and compassion touched countless lives.

Bonnie’s dedication to her community led her to serve as a town Selectman, a role she held with great pride. She also became a notary public and was honored to officiate many weddings for couples in the community—including ceremonies for her own children and grandchildren.

Her entrepreneurial spirit shone when she opened Mimi’s, a secondhand children’s clothing store that quickly became her favorite endeavor—giving her the joy of meeting and doting on every baby who came through the door.

Bonnie was Moe’s biggest supporter, especially during his campaign for Sheriff. After retirement, the couple embraced adventure, traveling in their RV and even working a season at Busch Gardens in Florida, where Bonnie delighted in being around children once again.

Later, Bonnie and Moe returned to Maine, where she sketched her dream home with her son Randy—who brought it to life. As Bonnie’s health declined, her five children came together to care for her and Moe with the same love and devotion she had always shown them.

Anyone who knew Bonnie knew of her incredible voice. Tall and radiant, she sang with a voice that many called a gift from God. Her home was often filled with music—whether it was her singing, impromptu jam sessions, or full-blown living room rock concerts with her children. She sang in her church choir and with the Meeting House Singers, sharing her love of music with her community. Even as her illness progressed, music remained in her heart. Though she may have forgotten the words, she never stopped humming along.

Bonnie’s legacy is one of unconditional love, family unity, joyful music, and community service. Her warmth, strength, and radiant spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Saint Matthew’s Catholic Church, 19 Dora Lane in Limerick, Maine. A Funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday, December 9 at 10:00 AM, also at Saint Matthew’s Church.
