Obituary

LIMERICK- Raymond E. Howe, age 86, passed away peacefully on Nov. 19, 2025.
He was born in Greenfield, MA, on Sept. 10, 1939, a son of the late Edgar and Ann (Cooke) Howe and graduated from Greenfield High School in 1957.
Raymond immediately joined the U.S. Navy upon graduation and served on a destroyer handling radar electronics.
He worked all of his working years as an electronics technician and retired from control devices
Raymond enjoyed watching sports, family genealogy, and was an avid golfer. He was so proud to get a hole-in-one and played golf until health restrictions prevented him from doing so. He was a volunteer for the Limerick Fire Department and a scout leader.
He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and was a longtime parishioner at St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church, where he served as a member of the parish council.
He is predeceased by a brother- Robert Howe.
Raymond is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years- Jill (Hayes) Howe whom he wed on June 30, 1962; his children- Lori Howe of Biddeford, Steven Howe of Limerick, and Patrick Howe and his wife Kim of South Berwick; a brother- Richard Howe and his wife Jean as well as his sister-in-law Betty of Greenfield, MA; his four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday Nov. 28th from 12 noon – 1 PM, followed by a service at 1 PM, at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 125 Sokokis Trail (Rt. 5) in East Waterboro. Deacon Paul Lissandrello will officiate.
