John F. "Jack" Murray, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 60 years of age.
Jack was born in Somerville on December 28, 1964, a son of the late Carol A. (Cottier) Mahoney and Walter "Mickey" Mahoney. Jack grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1984. Jack worked as a laborer for Eagle Elevator Company for several years. He was an avid Boston sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Boston Bruins and the Boston Red Sox.
Jack is the beloved companion of Marybeth Woods. He is the devoted brother of Thomas Murray, Kevin Murray, Gary Murray and his wife Jean, Carolyn Settipani and her husband Don, Jacquelyn Moran and her husband William and Maryann Murray. He is the dear friend of Billy Flynn. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jack's Celebration Of Life on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
