
James T. Alexander, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5th in Clearwater, Florida. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his departure.
James was born in Hrisohorafa, Greece on December 12, 1934, son to Theodore and Eleni Alexander. He immigrated to the United States in 1955 and began working in the restaurant business with his brother John Alexander and great uncle John. He married his wife Tula in Greece in 1961, both became US citizens in that same year. They quickly established their family in Worcester. He was a devoted father and friend, and a strong supporter of the growing Greek community in central Massachusetts.
He was a restaurant owner by trade, including Alexander's Spa in Worcester, MA and Pappas Plaza Restaurant in Holiday, FL, after moving to Palm Harbor, FL in the 1980's. He retired in 2005, spending time with family, friends both at home and abroad.
James is survived by his wife of 64 years Tula Alexander of Palm Harbor, FL, his children Elaine, John and Ted Alexander, his daughter-in-law Kristin, and the loves of his life, his grandchildren Demetra and Jack. He is also survived by his dear sister Paschalia Yantsides.
His funeral service will be held in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Friday, November 14th; the viewing will begin at 10 am and the service at 11 am. His burial will follow at Hope Cemetery.
