
Micheal Curtis Hollar, 34, of California, formerly of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on October 1st in California.
Born in Brockton, he was the son of Leighton Hollar of Georgia and the late Michele D. (Shanks) Stroud. Micheal was currently working as a doctor in the medical field and was a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He had also worked as an engineer with NASA and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Brockton.
Micheal had many passions and talents — he loved lifting weights, listening to Beyoncé, and competing in strongman competitions. He was also an actor, model, musician, and songwriter. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his father, he is survived by six brothers: Jonathan Stroud, Isaiah Stroud, Timothy Stroud, Tyee Shanks, Mark Stroud, and Daniel Hollar; five sisters: Tomica LeBlanc, Connie Stroud, Nori Stroud, Victoria Stroud, and Karen Johnson; (brother of the late Tommie and Jeremiah Stroud), as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street, Brockton, at a date and time to be announced.
Funeral services will take place at Trinity Baptist Church, 1367 Main Street, Brockton (date and time to be determined). Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl Street, Brockton, where Micheal will be laid to rest beside his mother.
