
                
                                Kurt A. Palmer 55, of Westport peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, November 2, 2025 with family by his side. He was the husband of Tammy L. (Hall) Palmer, they shared 23 years of marriage.
Mr. Palmer was born in Fall River, son of Laurence R. and Bernadette M. (Baker) Palmer of Westport. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, he served his country during the Gulf War in Operation Desert Storm.  He was an avid shooter and member of the Fall River Rod & Gun Club, New Bedford where he also served on the board. He was also a member of the Copicut Rifle Association, Fall River.  He was a champion marksman at Camp Perry, OH where he had a record score of 293-6X, a title he held for over 6 years. 
Mr. Palmer had worked as a fabricator for Brodeur Machine, New Bedford and attended Pacific Union Congregational Church, Westport. He enjoyed fishing, lobstering, gardening and working in his yard. He was a very handy, patient man who was always there to help out anyone in need and expect nothing in return.
Survivors along with his wife and parents include his brother: Jeffrey S. Palmer and his wife Christine of Westport; his sister: Melissa A. Bellavance of Westport; 2 nieces: Hannah and Amy; a nephew: Benjamin; great niece: Ava; and 2 great nephews: Knox and Anthony.
He was the uncle of the late Daniel R. Bellavance.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Friday from 5-8 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
