Karen L. Petit, 64, of Worcester, died on Saturday, October 18th at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her long time boyfriend, Hank Mignault of Worcester; three sons, Daniel Petit of Sterling, Arthur Kelley of Springfield, and Joshua Morin of Chicago, IL; two daughters, Melissa M. Petit of Worcester and Desirae Kelley of Marlborough; three brothers, Glen Remillard, Stephen Remillard, and Francis Remillard, Jr. all of Worcester; 4 sisters, Marie Pecore and her husband, Timothy of Brookfield, Pamela Remillard, Nancy Remillard, and Kimberly Remillard all of Worcester; 6 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Francis Remillard and Sally (Person) Remillard. Karen dedicated many years of her life to caring for others through her work as a dietary aide at local nursing homes. Her kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit touched the lives of countless residents and co-workers. Outside of work, Karen’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She cherished every gathering, big or small, and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. Her laughter, warmth, and caring nature will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Her calling hours will be held on Friday, November 7th from 5:00pm until 7:00pm in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
