Ina M. (Russell) Pinette, age 87, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Norman R. Pinette, Sr., to whom she was happily wed for sixty-three years at the time of his death on September 26, 2019.

Born in Millinocket, Maine on April 26, 1938, she was a loving daughter of the late Herman and Arline (Harriman) Russell. Ina grew up in Millinocket and was a 1956 graduate of Stearns High School in Millinocket. While in high school, she was proud of her membership in the Future Homemakers of America, served as a basketball usher and played the violin.

A dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, Mrs. Pinette had also been employed for seventeen years at the former Codex/Motorola Corporation in Mansfield and as a cafeteria worker for Mansfield Public Schools.

For over sixty-five years, Ina resided in Mansfield and was a former member of the Mansfield Baptist Church. Always happiest when in the company of her treasured family, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing bingo, the lottery and trips to area casinos. At the time of her death, Ina was anticipating the birth of her 8th great grandchild.

She is survived by his devoted children, Norman R. Pinette, Jr. and his companion Sue Almeida of Smithfield, RI, Steven M. Pinette and his companion Cathy Coburn of Attleboro, Renee A. Pinette and her husband Richard Johnson of Pawtucket, RI and the late Frances Johnson. She was the cherished grandmother of Amy, Leah, Steven, Jr., Seth and Sadie and the great grandmother of James, Marilyn, Austin, Ryker, Sophia, Asa and Vivian. She was the dear sister of the late Leonard Russell, Dolly Ronco, Frances Russell, Gloria Inman, Geri White, Marge Mitchell, Mary Stanton and Pam St. George. She is also survived by several generations of many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, November 8th from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.

A service in celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 8th at the conclusion of visiting hours at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, Ina’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to HopeHealth Hospice. 1085 North Main Street, Providence, Rhode Island 02904, in recognition of all their kindness and care.
