WEBSTER – Barbara T. (Piasta) Nowak, 97, died Wednesday, October 29, 2025 in Webster Manor with family at her side. Her husband of 42 years, William B. Nowak, died in 1988.
She leaves her son, Thomas Nowak of Webster; 4 grandchildren, Thomas Nowak, Jr., Scott Nowak, Nicholas Nowak and his wife Sheri, all of Webster, and Christopher and Melissa Nowak of Oxford; 5 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Jason, Damien, Shawn, MacKenzie and Matthew; 2 great great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Raegan Herr; nieces and nephews. Her son Robert died in 2016.
She was born on October 6, 1928, in Webster, a daughter of Joseph and Anna (Papierski) Piasta and lived here most of her life.
Mrs. Nowak worked as a housekeeper at Saint Vincent Hospital and then as a hostess at Webster Manor for many years before she retired.
She enjoyed crocheting.
Funeral services will be held privately. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street.
