Richard R. Fearing, of Woonsocket, Rl, at age 66 yrs old, passed away peacefully on October 19th,2025 at home surrounded by the love of his family after a "heroic & courageous" battle with cancer.
Born in Woonsocket, Rl, Richard was the son of the late Delores (Masse) Fearing, formerly of Woonsocket, Rl and the late Michael Yadisernia, formerly of Franklin, MA.
Richard was a graduate of Woonsocket H.S. He entered the workforce as a painter. Richard worked for various companies before venturing into the Rhode lsland Painter's Union as an accomplished "steeplejack" working all over the East coast even westward toward Texas painting water tanks, bridges and smokestacks. One of his most "standout memories" in this trade was his sons working on the side of him, whether it be "on the road" or otherwise. Richard had a strong work ethic, giving 1OO% of himself to the craft. He was highly skilled in his work & took great pride in it.
Richard enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was in the woods with nature or at the beach by the ocean. Fishing was a "much loved" hobby of his, along with playing cards & Keno, going to concerts and traveling to Florida to spend time with family. Richard was a "huge" football fan, rooting for the Patriots every time. He will be remembered as a care-free easy going guy who lived each day to the fullest. A cherished memory for Richard was when his 2 sons took him to Las Vegas for Father's Day a couple of years ago. His love for his family extended beyond words, especially his grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his children, Richard R. Fearing Jr. of Fort Meyers, FL (eldest son), Jamie Giordano of Westerly, Rl, Amanda Castro of West Warwick, Rl, and Richard R, Fearing Jr of Woonsocket, Rl (youngest son). He was the proud grandfather of Mila, Sarah, Ava, Mason, Jacob, Julio, Jadiel, Vivianny, and Christian Jr. He was the brother of Deborah Busha, Linda Snoek, Ann Bressan (twin sister), Robert Vadeboncoeur, Susan Gaboriault, Brian Fearing and Keith Fearing. Richard was pre-deceased by his 2 brothers, the late Ronald Fearing and the late Michael Fearing. Richard is survived by many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former wife and lifelong dear friend Kelly (Caron)Vega.
Richard was a beloved son, grandson, brother, father and grandfather. He had a quirky sense of humor and an uncanny ability to connect with just about anyone. He possessed an outgoing nature and was often always willing to lend a hand. Richard left a lasting mark on all of us and touched our hearts in ways words cannot describe in which we will deeply cherish. His absence, which is already felt, will leave a lasting void, as we will miss him always.
"Rest in Heaven with the angels in God's paradise and His loving care our dear loved one. May your spirit soar and find eternal peace."
ln accordance with Richard's wishes, funeral services will be private. There will be a "Celebration of Life" for Richard at a later date in the spring. lt will be posted on Facebook on each of the family's Facebook pages including my own. Family and Friends will be invited to attend.
