Linda Sue Green Yown, 78, of Tifton passed away Friday, October 25, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held for Ms. Yown Monday, October 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Bowen- Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Tim Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Tifton.
Born on May 15, 1947, in Marion County, Alabama, Ms. Yown was the daughter of Jessie James Green and Edith Grace Hutchinson Green. Ms. Yown was a devoted homemaker and deeply loved her church, Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to her parents, Ms. Yown is survived by her husband; Jessie Yown, one sister; Dorothy “Dot” Wilson, and one sister-in-law; Vera Virginia Yown, all of Tifton.
