Joseph L. Matara, “Joe Candi”-- of Revere, formerly of Somerville, October 23. Survived by his ex-wife and dear friend Rosa Matara and her partner Sharon Sciarappa of Salem, NH. Devoted father of Joseph R. Matara and his wife Kelly of Andover. Loving grandfather of Ava and James of Andover. Cherished son of the late Joseph J. and Frances (DiMare) Matara. Dear brother of Elizabeth Flynn and, Cathy McCarron and her husband Robert, all of Melrose and Susan Rufo of Wilmington. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Wednesday, October 29th at 8:30 AM, followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston, at 10 AM . Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours on Tuesday, October 28th from 4 to 7 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
