Garee David Keith, 75, of Commodore, PA died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at his home.
The son of Ernest “Mike” H. and Ruth M. (Armstrong) Keith, he was born on October 17, 1950 in Indiana, PA.
Garee was a graduate of Purchase Line High School.
He married Joyce Mae Ahlas on November 10, 1988 and they have shared almost thirty-seven years of marriage together.
Garee worked as a Coca Cola salesman prior to being employed at H& H Electrical Service Center, Inc. in Clymer, PA for the past forty years, where he was still working full time. Garee would often tell people he enjoyed his job at H & H so much that he never felt like he was “working.”
He loved spending time with his family; hunting; vegetable gardening and canning.
Garee liked taking gambling trips to casinos and weekend trips with his wife, Joyce. Some of his favorite pastimes were being with his buddies at The Cellar; farming and taking trips to see the elk at Benezette.
An avid sports enthusiast, Garee loved watching sports on tv and at one point had done a good bit of golfing.
One of the highlights of Garee’s year was attending the Cookport Fair and helping out there as a volunteer over the decades.
Garee is survived by his loving wife Joyce; his three children: Stephen Keith and wife Briana of Homer City, PA; Brian Keith of Mechanicsburg, PA and Julie Hammond and husband David of Ocean Springs, MS; his stepson: James E. Scott of Indiana, PA; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; his two sisters: Nancy Baker and husband Ed of Hillsdale, PA and Joanne Keith of Commodore, PA and his three sisters-in-law: Judith Keith of Commodore, PA; Joann Moyer Keith of Cherry Tree, PA and Marge Keith of Tallmadge, OH.
Garee was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers: Robert, Richard and John Keith.
Family and friends will be received from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. On Saturday, October 25, 2025 viewing will continue at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Raymond Hill officiating. Interment will take place at Hazelet Cemetery, Cherry Tree, PA.
