Sheila J. (Meston) Broderick, age 75, of Mansfield, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at the Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas E. Broderick.

Born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on August 13, 1950, she was a loving daughter of the late Robert A. and Dorothy G. (Adrian) Meston.

When Sheila was ten years old, her family moved to the United States. They first settled in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston where Sheila grew up and was a 1968 graduate of Hyde Park High School.

After starting a family, Sheila returned to her studies and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Boston State College. She had made her home in Mansfield for over twenty years and was a former resident of Jamaica Plain.

Prior to retiring, Sheila had been employed for twenty years as a dispatcher for the Boston Municipal Police Department. Her greatest joy in life was her treasured family and the love and pride in being a grandmother was immeasurable. She was a diehard New England Patriots fan and quite passionate on the subject of political conversations.

She is survived by her devoted children, Keith R. Borsari and his wife June of Mansfield, Melanie M. Sprague and her husband Richard, Sr. Of Mansfield and Kathleen M. Broderick of North Reading. She was the cherished grandmother of Nicholas and his wife Maddie, Richard, Jr., Samantha, Deirdre and Fiona. She was the dear sister of Barbara LaForce and her husband Lawrence of Duxbury, Brian Meston and his wife April of Jamaica Plain and the late Randolph Meston and Debbie Chute. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, October 25th from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.

Words of remembrance will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will take place privately at a later date in the Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield.
