Worcester: Alcides Rodriguez, Jr., 58, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2025 in Rose Monahan Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves a son Alcides Rodriguez III and his daughter in law Lorena Acevedo, 2 grandchildren- Ricardo and Antonio; his mother Carmen Alicia Gutierrez; his former wife Elsie Guzman; siblings Sandra, Alexander, Carmen and Charito, his step Daughter; Brenda Aquino and many nieces and nephews.
Alcides was born in Chicago, Il, son of Alcides Rodriguez, Sr. and Carmen Gutierrez. He moved to Yauco, PR at at a very young age and spent his childhood there. He moved back stateside where he got married and started a family. He spend the majority of his later years in Worcester, MA where he held many positions, most recently worked as a line cook at Worcester State University. He enjoyed following Puerto Rican politics and boxing, especially Tito Trinadad. He was an avid sports fan, watching baseball, and basketball and his favorite player Lebron James. He was a member of the former Boricuas Cutlass and Regal Car Club in Worcester and proudly cruised around the city in his gold Buick Regal.
