Obituary

Daniel Aram Mushegian II
December 21, 1981 – September 21, 2025

It is with deep love and sadness that we share the passing of Daniel Aram Mushegian II, who left us on September 21, 2025. A devoted son, a beloved brother and uncle, and a treasured friend, Aram will be remembered for the love, deep belly laughs and big hugs he shared with his family and friends.

Born on December 21, 1981 in New Rochelle, NY, Aram was raised in Greenwich CT and lived in Raleigh NC, Denver CO, West Palm Beach FL and most recently Boston MA. Aram found joy in many things, but nothing meant more to him than family. He was devoted to his mother, Sara, and late father, Daniel Aram Mushegian and had a very special bond with his sisters. He adored his nieces and nephew, as well as the children of his closest friends, loving them as if they were his own. His presence in their lives will be deeply missed.

An expert skier and true lover of the outdoors, Aram found peace and exhilaration on the mountains and in nature. He was equally at home engaged in spirited conversation — an excellent debater who could challenge ideas with both passion and wit. He was a natural when it came to technology and computers. From the early days of his dot matrix printer, to building PCs from scratch, to his technical acuity around health data and reporting, Aram’s comprehension of technology seemed to know no bounds. His many travels to Armenia both as a volunteer and as a wide-eyed tourist must be mentioned. There were a few places Aram considered his ‘happy place’ and Armenia was one of them. Above all, he loved his family and friends.

Aram leaves behind his loving mother, Sara Mushegian and her husband Bill Spinner; his siblings, Siroui Mushegian (husband Hamed Bagherpour), Setta Mushegian (husband Timothy Wilkes) and Anoush Schaefer (husband Alex Schaefer); his nieces, Cecily Wilkes, Grace Schaefer, Emma Schaefer, and nephew, Graham Wilkes, and many close friends and relatives who will carry his memory forward with love and gratitude.

A Sacrament of Life for Aram will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 10AM at Holy Trinity Armenian Church in Cambridge MA. Reception from 11AM to 12:30PM to follow. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and honor the life of someone who meant so much to so many.

Though his time here was too short, Aram’s life was rich in many ways. He will be remembered always for his sweetness, his laughter, and the lasting imprint he left on the lives of others.
