Obituary

Megan C. Dunlevy, 32, of Worcester, peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, October 5th and is reunited with her beloved dog, Dexter. She is survived by her devoted mother, Joanne G. (Anderson) Dunlevy of Worcester; Veronica Dunlevy of Worcester, her older siblings Jay J. Dunlevy of Fiskdale, and Sarah A. Dunlevy of Worcester; her cherished niece, Aria Dunlevy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, her beloved students, and the South High Community.

Megan was born in Worcester and was a proud graduate of Claremont Academy. She furthered her education by earning her bachelor’s degree from Worcester State University and her master’s degree from Framingham State University. For the last ten years, she served as a dedicated teacher at South High School, where she taught English and Theater.

Megan's passion for the arts and her unwavering commitment to her students made her a cherished member of the South High community. She inspired creativity, confidence, and compassion in everyone who crossed her path. A member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association and the Educational Association of Worcester, Megan’s love for the arts and drama resonated deeply, touching countless lives through her enthusiasm for performance and self-expression.

She will be remembered for her kindness, vibrant spirit, and the enduring impact she had on her students, colleagues, friends and family.

Calling hours are Friday, October 10th from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the scholarship created in Megan’s name for drama students at South High School.
