SCARBOROUGH- Peggy Sue Nelsen, 49, of Scarborough, Maine, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Born on January 9, 1976, in Portland, Peggy graduated from Scarborough High School and remained a lifelong resident of the area. She shared her life with her fiancé, John Patenaude, and was a devoted mother to her children, Ashley and Zackary.
Peggy was predeceased by her stepdaughter, Shawnia, and her grandparents. She is survived by her parents, Gloria and Walter I Nelsen Jr; her brother, Walter I Nelsen III; and her beloved dogs, Mike and Molly.
Peggy will be remembered for her kindness and love for animals.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Refuge League in Westbrook, Maine.
