Sandra Marie Baker Blitchington, 67, of Tifton passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Harborview Nursing Center in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Stephen Norris officiating. Mrs. Blitchington will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Chadan Fields, Laydan Fields, Jeremy Molina, William Bromlow, Randall Bromlow and Brenden Blalock will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 3, 1958, in Charleston, South Carolina, Mrs. Blitchington was the daughter of the late Russell Baker, Sr. and Emma Elizabeth “Betty” Remley Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Adam Blitchington; and one daughter, Jessica Marie Warren. Before retiring, she was a floral designer at City Florist in Tifton; and she was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Tifton. She was also a former member of the Tifton Jaycees and a present member of the Amaranth and the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Blitchington is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Fields of Tifton and Cheryl Felts of Ocilla; one brother, Russell Lee Baker, Jr. of Tifton; one sister, Elizabeth B. Atchison of Tifton; four grandchildren, Breanna Fields, Chadan Fields, Layden Fields and Noah Felts; three great-grandchildren, Braylin Myers, Tyran Blalock and Aria Fields; three nieces, Katie Elizabeth Atchison, Jennifer Lynn Knight and Crystal Ann Izzo; and one nephew, Russell Aubrey Baker II.
