Paul David Durham, age 68, of Brookfield passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at his family’s home. A graveside funeral service will be held for Paul at 2:00 p.m Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Tift Memorial Gardens, where he will be laid to rest. Pastor Mark Thornton, Paul’s brother-in-law, and the Rev. Jerry Riggs will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals
Employees of the Georgia Department of Transportation will serve as pallbearers. Jamie D. Dove will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Paul was born October 2, 1957, in Wichita, Kansas. Paul was the son of the late Gordon Durham and Jewell Durham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca “Becky” Gray.
Paul lived a full and meaningful life on faith and hard work. He had a passion for History with a special focus on American History. Among some of his collections were the American Flags that he honored and respected for his lifelong pride in his country.
Paul was employed by the Georgia Department of Transportation, where he was respected for his dedication, reliability and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he found the pleasure of life, tending to his yards, tinkering with his trucks, and working on projects around his home. His ability to find meaning in everyday tasks and his willingness to lend a helping hand will be kindly remembered.
Paul is survived by his son, David Durham; his sisters, Debbie Bruce (Stan) and Mona Thornton (Mark); two granddaughters, Destiny Durham McDaniel and Faith Durham; and his nieces and nephews.
