Anna J. (Wawro) Schatz, age 88, of Norton, formerly of Easton and East Hartford, CT, passed away at the Residence at Great Woods in Norton on Friday, October 3, 2025.
Born in Krakow, Poland on August 12, 1937, she was a loving daughter of the late Francis S. and Emilia H. (Bandola) Wawro.
Anna spent her early childhood living in Poland. At the age of twelve, her family moved to Lansdowne, Pennsylvania where she was a graduate of Lansdowne Alden High School. She continued her education, receiving a certificate to be a laboratory technician.
Anna had made her home in Norton for the past three years and was a former nine-year resident of Easton. She previously lived in East Hartford, Connecticut and prior to retiring had worked at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut for thirty years
Anna loved spending time with her adoring family and had a special love for her late dog “Lucy”. She also enjoyed the simple pleasure of watching television while relaxing at home.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Lisa S. Hoffman and her husband Marc of Mansfield. She was the cherished grandmother of Marisa E. Hoffman of Braintree, Madeline E. Alaoui and her husband Zakariya of Amesbury, Maxwell E. Hoffman of Mansfield and Quinten P. Hoffman of Mansfield.
Services and burial are private and visiting hours are omitted.
