Nancy A. (Arruda) Simmons, 69, of Westport, peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday, September 30, 20255 with family by her side. She was the daughter of the late James R. and Anna (Raposa) Arruda.
Ms. Simmons was born in Fall River and had been a lifelong resident of Westport. Prior to retirement, she worked as an employment specialist for the Department of Workforce Development, Fall River. She had also worked at the former Genzyme, Fall River and as a personal trainer at Workout World and other area health clubs.
Survivors include her son: David D'Orlando of Westport; her sister: Susan Bennett of Westport; 1 niece: Sarah Carellas; a great niece: Raeghan Carrelas; and 1 great nephew: Brady Carrelas .
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:30 A.M.
Memorial visitation will be Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 10-11:30 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
