Sharon R. Thompson, age 64, of Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

Beloved wife of David Powell. Devoted mother to Dennis, David, Shannon (Michael), and Danny (Shannon). Cherished grandmother of seven and great-grandmother to one. Loving sister of Kathy, Mary, Donna, Ray, Susan, Ken, and the late James, John, and Christopher. Proud aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Hummel and Maryanne Lynch, as well as her dear brothers James, John, and Christopher. She now rejoins them in eternal rest.

Her warmth, strength, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ocwieja-Robles Funeral Home, 4256 S. Mozart, Chicago.
Additional parking is available at Five Holy Martyrs Church, 4327 S. Richmond.

Interment will take place on Monday, October 6, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, located at 87th Street and Hamlin Avenue, Evergreen Park.
