WEBSTER - A beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Ronald V. "Ron" Arcieri passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025 at the age of 88, surrounded by his loving family. Ron was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Janet Arcieri, their son Paul Arcieri and daughters-in-law, Kim (Majewski) Arcieri & Kathy (Nowicki) Arcieri. He is survived by his children; Maria Arcieri and her spouse Linda Monroe of Beverly, Anita Arcieri of Worcester, and Marc Arcieri and his wife Heidi of Woodstock, CT. Ron was the proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren; Janelle, Marla, Jillian, Jocelyn, Leah, Jack and Oliver and 7 great grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his sister Enis Morgan and brother Robert Arcieri and leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
Born in 1937 in South Boston, MA, Ron was the son of the late Nicholas and Linda (Casagrande) Arcieri. He earned his Masters Degree in Social Work from Boston College and dedicated his career to helping others. He had a successful private practice, served as the Director of Catholic Charities, and ultimately retired alongside his wife Jan as Co-Directors of the Family Life Ministry for the Diocese of Worcester.
Ron was a devoted New England sports fan, among his favorites were cheering on the Boston Red Sox and the teams of his alma mater, Boston College. Ron's other passions and interests included a great love for the coast of Maine where he and Jan enjoyed their summers at their camp in Kennebunkport. When at home he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, working in his yard and gardens and entertaining with friends.
He was a foundational member of Saint Louis Church and took great fulfillment in the activities and teachings of parish life. His faith and love for family were the cornerstones of his life.
His funeral will be held on Friday, October 3, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 15 Lake Street, Webster. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, October 2, in the funeral home.
