Charles W. Paquette, age 84, passed away peacefully at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital on Friday, September 26, 2025, surrounded by family. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
He was the beloved husband and best friend of Sharon L. (Ward) Paquette, with whom he celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on January 26, 2025. Chuck was a resident of Tewksbury for over 40 years.
Born in Winchester on June 8, 1941, to the late George Paquette and the late Unity Pauline (Mead) Paquette. He was raised in Winchester and graduated from Winchester High School. Following graduation, Chuck enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps and served from July 31, 1959, until his honorable discharge from active duty on December 23, 1963. He worked as a salesman for the Verizon Communications Company for over 20 years until his retirement and after retiring from Verizon, worked for 11 years at the Tewksbury Home Depot.
Chuck was a life member of the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Post # 2070, where he assisted for many years as the number caller at the weekly Bingo games. He was also a member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club and Senior Walk-In-Center. In his spare time, he enjoyed home repair projects, fishing, and constructing various objects with Legos as well as spending time with friends. Known for his love of treats, chocolate as well as potato chips and peanut butter were amongst his favorites.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kim M. Porter, of Tewksbury and Lisa M. Pavilionis and her husband Will, of Oxford, MA, his son, Scott W. Paquette and his partner Linsey Tucci, of Lewiston, ME and his grandchildren, Abby, Destiny, Jon, Lia, and Tanner. He was the brother of Cherry, Shirley, Dolly, Nancy, Glynnis (predeceased), Queenie (predeceased), and William (predeceased). He leaves many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Calling hours are Sunday, October 5th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. His funeral procession will begin on Monday, October 6th at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a graveside service at 10 a.m. to be held at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury.
