F. David Larkin, age 86 passed away on September 21, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 24, 1939 in Holyoke, a son of the late Francis Leary Larkin and Jean M. (Watson) Larkin. David graduated from Cranwell Prep School where he was known as a natural athlete. He was a longtime member of the Pastime Athletic Club, a proud member of the Elks Lodge and also enjoyed golf. He worked as the owner and operator of the Leary Undergarment store for over 20 years before he retired. He is survived by his wife Janet L. (Couture) Larkin of Chicopee; his brother Michael Larkin and his wife Christine Mills-Larkin of Chicopee; one step son, Craig Heroux of Agawam; four step daughters, Kimberly Slachetka and her husband Jim of Chicopee, Laurie Card and her husband Jason of SC, Julie Lingenberg and her husband Bob of Chicopee and Jennifer Lopez and her husband Armondo of Maryland; eight grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. David was known for his quick wit, infectious laugh, and love of Boston sports. He enjoyed spending time with those he loved. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Sept 28, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church at 11:00 AM.
